Overview

The Marine Operations Assistant is responsible for administrative processes across marine operations including scheduling, crewing, procurement, logistics, reporting, filing, writing, and analytics.

 

American Cruise Lines is one of America’s most experienced cruise lines. We operate the newest fleet of 100 to 200 passenger luxury cruise ships and riverboats on 5 to 22 day cruises, traveling along the coastal and inland waters of the Atlantic, Pacific Northwest and Mississippi River.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing deck officer and crew recruiting, performance, and retention trends
  • Analyzing guest feedback trends
  • Analyzing ship performance and optimization
  • Generating and sending numerous annual, monthly, and weekly reports
  • Corresponding with key Port and Industry stakeholders
  • Lead and manage multiple marine operations initiatives and projects
  • Partner with administrative teams across Hotel, Recruiting, Training and Shipping
  • Adapt, multi-task, and accelerate cycle times of key processes
  • Assist procurement processes in reviewing and coding invoices
  • Data base entry and management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (minimum GPA 3.5)
  • Advanced-level proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat electronic document production, filing, and analysis across Word-Excel-PowerPoint-Adobe
  • Strong organization and communication skills
