Chesapeake Shipbuilding, www.chesapeakeshipbuilding.com, located on the scenic eastern shore of Maryland is seeking an experienced recruiter.  Ideal candidates will have knowledge of construction trades and will recruit welders, fitters, electricians, plumbers, carpenters, engineers, foreman, project managers, managers, directors, and administrative positions. 

Chesapeake Shipbuilding is a growing company and is hiring for many new positions.  The Recruiter will write job postings, post jobs on Indeed and other websites, maintain the ATS, review resumes, interview candidates, and make hiring recommendations to senior management.  

• Recruits and sources passive and active candidates
• Writes effective job postings
• Operates and uses ATS (preferably ADP)
• Screens and interviews candidates (virtually using Microsoft Teams and in person)
• Makes recommendation to senior management
• Maintains social media platforms for recruiting
• Establishes work referral program
• Communicates professionally with applicants
• Attends career fairs at local schools and job fairs throughout the state
• Meets weekly and monthly hiring goals
• Additional administrative duties as required

• Proficient knowledge of computers and Microsoft office
• Recruiting experience
• Basic knowledge of construction terminology
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test
• Strong organizational skills
