    American Cruise Lines is seeking a Shore Excursion Coordinator to work in our Guilford, CT office.  The ideal candidate will have experience planning, developing, and reserving tours and shore excursion programs.  Cruise ship experience is welcomed but not required.  This position will work in the Tour Operations department based in Guilford, CT.


    Candidates should be familiar with tour operations, geography of North America particularly the United States and have a passion for the travel industry. In this faced paced role you will collaborate with other departments in order to create a memorable onboard experience for our guests. 




    • Responsible for planning and reserving shore excursions, busses, and guides
    • Oversee quality of tours.
    • Administration duties (Send documents and excursion information to the shipboard Cruise Directors)
    • Responsible for tracking tour revenue and meeting budget
    • Ensure quality of shore excursions and educational programs.
    • Research and make recommendations for new activities and excursions.
    • Maintain supplier relations through negotiations, routine activities, supplier visitations, and industry events.
    • Maintain thorough awareness of company competitors and their product offerings, including where necessary, competitive analysis.


    • Bachelors’ Degree (Travel, Tourism & Hospitality preferred)
    • Ideal candidate will have tour planning and management experience
    • Strong organizational skills and a high level of communication and listening skills
    • Excellent phone skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
    • Must be positive, enthusiastic, and outgoing
    • Ability to speak and compose in English
    • Ability to travel
    • Must past pre-employment drug test
