    This positon is being created as a result of the addition of a brand new maintenance facility to service our yard equipment including forklifts, cranes, scissor lifts air compressor etc.

     

    The Mechanic will perform general maintenance of facilities, equipment to support production requirements.  This includes, but is not limited to the analysis and repair of mechanical problems associated with Fork lifts, cranes, scissor lifts, air compressors, etc.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain and repair Genie and Terex shooting boom fork lifts and Terex all-terrain yard cranes including diesel fuel system, hydraulics, transmission, and drivetrain.
    • Maintain and repair JLG man lifts, battery powered scissor lifts, and diesel powered air compressors.
    • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
    • Hours: 40-50 hours per week. Candidates may be asked weekends. Normal hours will be Monday-Friday.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum 5 years similar experience in the repair and maintenance of industrial equipment
    • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
    • Highly motivated, self-starter, organized and able to multi-task
    • Works well individually with minimal direction and as a team member
    • Must be a proactive problem solver
    • Must possess a working knowledge of the appropriate tools necessary to perform maintenance tasks and knowledge of standardized maintenance regulations
