    American Cruise Lines, the largest U.S.A. cruise company is seeking a Marine Port Engineer Manager.    This position will be based in Seattle, WA or Portland, OR and will support our West Coast Fleet that operates in the Puget Sound, Alaska, Columbia River and Hawaii. We offer over 30 unique itineraries that travel along the inland and coastal waterways of the East Coast, Pacific Northwest and Mississippi River. Each ship carries between 100 and 200 passengers under a US Flag with brand new ships launching every year.




    • Troubleshoot and solve all mechanical problems onboard ships.
    • Dispatch service as necessary to resolve mechanical issues.
    • Train and mentor engineering personnel onboard ships.
    • Manage and run repair jobs using contractors & shipyards.
    • Schedule and complete required USCG inspections.
    • Maintain Wastewater treatment systems.
    • Ability to perform basic mechanical skills including electrical troubleshooting.
    • Able to travel.


    • Bachelor's Degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, aerospace engineering, automotive engineering, or electrical engineering: College transcripts will be required as part of the interview process
    • Minimum 3-4 years sea time or shoreside in a shipyard and/or industrial environment working as a trade supervisor, engineer, or superintendent.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills
    • Professional appearance and demeanor
